RV vacations, extended breaks, trips around the country, and even total RV living can be fantastic. Life with an RV is a life filled with fun and adventure. It’s a life on the road, filled with opportunities to see more of the world and to live with freedom. When you travel in an RV, you become part of a community of like-minded people whenever you stop.

Keep it Packed
If you’ve never traveled like this before you are probably in the habit of packing and unpacking completely when you get home, when you’ve got your own holiday home, there’s no need. Keep some of the essentials, like pots and pans, store cupboard essentials, bedding, and even clothes that you don’t need at home, on board. Just take out what you need to wash, and you’ll always be ready to go.

One day, you’ll be able to pitch up, hook up to the sewage line, get fresh water and connect to the electricity, unpack, get your awning up and settle in, in an hour without thinking about it. But, for a beginner, it can feel like there’s a lot to do, and you might worry about forgetting something.
Creating a pitch up checklist will help you to remember everything, get things done in the right order, and avoid mistakes. Add things to your list with every trip, until it’s comprehensive and helpful.
Get Involved in the Community
New campers tend to try and keep to themselves. They worry about joining an existing community. But, the traveling community changes each day. New people join, people leave, and fellow travelers will always make you feel welcome. Say hi to people, and get involved.
Take Home Comforts
Another big positive with an RV is that you can fill it with luxuries and home comforts. It can be a home from home, or even your main home if you pack it well. Add plenty of home comforts to help you relax.
Learn to Keep it Tidy
One of the challenges of living in a smaller area is space. Your RV can quickly become messy and cluttered. Learn how to keep it neat and tidy, and make sure you’ve got plenty of smart storage for camping, and you’ll be much more comfortable.
Replace Supplies ASAP
If you need extra supplies, or spare parts and replacements, get them as soon as you can, to keep your van ready to go. Then you’ll never have to worry about getting things in a rush.
