It’s easy to get wrapped up in the land your visiting when you’re planning a break. In a lot of cases, this is where the activities and excursions you plan will be held, and this makes it a challenge to think about the other areas you have on offer. The ocean, for example, is filled with just as much life as the land on Earth, and this often makes it a great place to explore when you’re on a break. Borneo
The island of Borneo is well-renowned for its array of different wildlife, with rainforests which cover a huge portion of the islands land. This extends into the ocean, with coral reefs, over 3000 species of fish, and loads of other wildlife for you to see. A Sipadan dive package would give you the chance to swim in an area which even the world’s best divers would kill to see. Of course, though, you have to think about the impact you have with something like this. Borneo is one of the few places in the world which has been left largely free from the devastation which humans can bring. This makes it well worth being considerate with your travel there.
Australia
While it isn’t too far away from Borneo, it’s hard to think about diving without looking towards Australia. This part of the world is another area which is renowned for its wildlife, sporting some of the world’s deadliest snakes and spiders. In the sea, though, things change a little, with the dusty landscape turning into an array of colours. The Great Barrier Reef is possibly the most popular diving spot in the world. There are few places which enable you to bump into other divers under the waves, though this is certainly one of them.
Gozo Island
Not a lot of people have heard of Gozo Island before, being such a small place. This Island sits on the coast of Malta, and is home to a small population which is largely built around tourism. The oceans in this area are filled with wildlife, like the other places on this list, but they also have something else. Over the years, this area has seen a lot of human activity, with planes and ships playing a large role. Some of these machines have sank to the bottom of the waters, and divers who know where to look can find and explore them. Along with the fish and interesting rock formations, this makes Gozo a great place for divers of all levels.
With all of this in mind, you should be feeling ready to go on your next diving holiday. It can be hard to find the best places for activities like this, though it’s often best to look for areas which have things you want to see. If you really like coral, for example, Australia is always going to be the place for you.
