Hike Up Half Dome, Yosemite National Park

Half Dome is am amazing semi-circular, dome-shaped rock formation that's like an amphitheater for the sonic beauty of the stars and the surrounding rugged landscape. The sweet music that comes from the sweeping views of the terrain compared to the world's best symphonies. That being said, it's no easy hike to get there—which is why it is top on our list. Rim-to-Rim Hike, Grand Canyon National Park

Expect to spend up to 6 days traversing these trails and along the way get a very intimate and personal view of America's greatest geological wonder.

When you take this hike come prepared. You should be in fairly good shape, have the proper hiking equipment and bring a walking stick, or another assistive device. Trekking poles, or lightweight adjustable canes are a great idea on this adventure. They will give you support when needed and are easy to pack.

The Sierra High Route

This trail is for serious hikers, as it is almost 200 miles long. At an eye-popping 195 miles, the pace is almost as breathtaking as the views. Again, this hike gives you a serious reward for your efforts. You will be far removed from civilization and truly experience the presence and power of nature. It is also a high-elevation hike so be prepared to expend more energy than usual. You should also train by climbing some higher peaks prior to your trip. But during your hike you'll see incredible scenery, mountainous views and spectacular terrain.

The Kesugi Ridge Trail, Alaska

Hiking the Kesugi Ridge Trail is like traveling through the heart of the uncivilized world. It's raw nature at its finest. This trail takes you straight through Alaskan Wilderness with sprawling views of towering mountains like Mount McKinley looming like gods in the distance. It's a long hike at 36 miles, it should take about 4 days to complete.
