Hi my name is Edwin Prasetya, I’m 32 years old and I work as a legal consultant at a law firm in Indonesia. I love travelling so much because I like to gaze something new and whenever I see wonderful landscapes, it gives me goosebumps. Travelling makes me feel happy.

EC: What kind of traveler are you?

EP: Usually I go travelling with my spouse (we just get married, yeayyyy :)). My travel destination is to usually see new countries or finding new beaches. I also like to dive, so I will dive one / two times a year in Indonesia.

EC: I love your Instagram page! Why did you decide to start sharing your travel adventures on social media?

EP: Thank you so much. I like to capture new places with my camera and by sharing it with social media, I will always remember that place and I can see it again and again if I reminisce it. On top of that, people will know that there are many destination preferences in the world.

EC: Where’s the one place you have been so far that has made the biggest impact on your life?

EP: Kyoto, I really fall in love with this city. This is an old city who preserve its heritage. The reason I really like this is city is it can maintain its culture without being interrupted by modern society.

EC: Where in the world is your favorite place to visit? Why?

EP: I always admire well organized country, therefore, my experience to Japan is very memorable. I went to three cities, namely Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. From those cities I can learn that how punctual their public transportations are, how they still respect and honor their cultures and how they preserve the cleanliness of their countries. I remembered how hospitable and friendly their residents are to the tourist. For me, Japan is amazing!

EC: How many countries/states have you visited?

EP: I had visited Singapore, Malaysia (2 cities), Bangkok (2 cities) Italy (5 cities), Japan (3 cities), Australia (2 cities) and America (3 states). I also visited several islands in Indonesia.

EC: What do you think is the biggest sacrifice you have made for the sake of traveling?

EP: I think the biggest sacrifice is always cost, particularly when visiting industrialized or advance countries. However so long I can control our financial management, I believe nothing will stop me to reach my travel destination. We always can earn money, but we keep aging and our stamina will be degrading, hence I need to travel as much as I can.

EC: Have you had any scary moments while on your travels?

EP: Not yet.

EC: How has travel changed you?

EP: I like to learn something new. By travelling, I meet new people, new cultures and new experience. I try to adjust the good things of those new cultures to my life and I feel that it really enhances me from time to time. I can get rid of my bad habits with the new ones that I earn from travelling.

EC: Who is your travel inspiration?

EP: One old guy who keeps travelling until this moment. He is 70 years old, but his spirit to always keep travelling really inspire me. He said that even going to the same place will always come out with different sensation and experience. Nature has given us a chance to see its beautifulness, so we only need to enjoy it.

EC: What advice would you give to someone who’s thinking about traveling and documenting their travel experiences on social media?

EP: Keep travelling and sharing your good memories through social media. Your pictures will inspire some people from their comfort zone and open a new horizon for them.
