When thinking about visiting America, New York has got to be one at the top of the list. However, we shouldn’t forget about the wonderful place that is New Jersey, it should really be on your list of places to visit as it has some hidden gems for you to see. Have a look at the list of worthwhile places to visit below.

Mount Tammany, Delaware Water Gap

This is definitely one for the outdoorsy people and may require a little bit of a fitness level as it’s quite a strenuous 3.5 miles hike. This is one of Jersey’s most famous trails and the view from the top is amazing. Once you reach your goal and get to the top you will be able to enjoy incredible views of the Delaware River and the other surrounding mountain ranges. Be sure to pack plenty of water and snacks and it would be a good idea to wear suitable footwear such as hiking shoes.

Irvington, South Mountain Reservation

Although Irvington isn't somewhere that appears on everyone list of places to visit it’s most definitely worth a trip. The Township of Irvington NJ is a bustling little area that gives you the true New Jersey experience. The South Mountain Reservation is a parkland with a zoo and sports arena making it a fantastic place to visit with the family. With a park on 2000 acres with a zoo, sports arena, hiking trails, carriage roads, and pond fishing there’s something for everyone to try.

Cape May, Sunset Beach

If you’re looking for that perfect sunset or romantic spot then look no further. Located just on the southern tip of New Jersey, Sunset Beach has phenomenal sunsets each and every night, with a quiet atmosphere and warm ambiance it makes it a real hidden gem for you to enjoy. Why not pack a nighttime picnic and enjoy a sparkling glass of something while enjoying orange and red skies.

Union, Van Gogh’s Ear Cafe

Providing live music and a relaxing atmosphere all under a gigantic mural of Van Gogh’s infamous Starry Night this cafe has got to be on your list of places to enjoy a coffee or a quick bite while taking a trip to New Jersey. With S’mores, Banana and many more adventurous flavors of Latte to enjoy while sitting at a candlelit table or snuggled in a lounge chair you’ll be sure to sit back and watch the world go by.

Whether you’re a food fanatic or just a major fan of doughnuts this little gem of a find should most definitely be on your list. There is the ultimate variety of flavors and combinations, you’re bound to want more than just the one and maybe even want to take some away with you.
