EC: What kind of traveler are you?
PF: I'm a full time traveler promoting an ethical and eco-friendly surf lifestyle.
EC: Where has been your favorite place to surf at while traveling?
PF: I can't choose one! :) El Salvador and Sri Lanka was amazing for the waves, but Caribbean islands got my heart, I visit Puerto Rico and Dominican Republic every year.
EC: While traveling & surfing you also run Costa Bikinis. Can you tell our readers a little more about what your business is and how you got started?
PF: I started to surf in 2012 and always had problems with my swimwear. I had to buy all kinds of cheap models to find the best that stay on when I surf. Then I thought that in Spain we have amazing materials so I should start working with professional designers in Spain to create swimwear for surfers. That´s how Costa bikinis (www.costabikinis.com) was born, a concept of surf swimwear designed by and for surf girls. All made in Spain and reversible surf bikinis to provide to the surf female community unique swimwear that stay on in all conditions.
EC: Where in the world is your favorite place to visit? Why?
PF: Again I cant choose only one! I have been living in Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, so I love visiting my friends there.
EC: What do you think is the biggest sacrifice you have done for the sake of traveling?
PF: Not seeing my family, that's the worst, I even speak with them every day, it is hard. And I miss a lot Spanish food too!
EC: How many countries have you visited?
PF: Last time I counted: 29
EC: Have you had any scary moments while on your travels?
PF: Yes, there are a few country where women are treated very poorly, so traveling by myself it was easy to have weird situations. That is not enough to make me stop traveling at all.
EC: Where is your next travel destination going to be? Why?
PF: Guess.. Dominican Republic in February and Puerto Rico next.
EC: How has travel changed you?
PF: Definitely I open my mind more and also I'm very extroverted. What has changed my life the most? Surfing. Made me feel free to travel the world with no excuses.
EC: What advice would you give to someone who’s thinking about traveling while surfing and owning a business?
PF: Find a balance between surfing, traveling and working. You need time for all but remember your job is what put you in those waves, so: Patience, consistency and show always professional.
