Whether you’re living life in a van or travelling around every now and again, the last thing on your mind is probably how you’re going to clean it after a day on the road. You're normally too busy exploring or tired after a busy day, so keeping your van clean is often something that gets put on the back burner, despite how important it is.

Luckily, there are lots of different products you can buy to make cleaning your van much easier and quicker. So with that in mind here are 7 cleaning products that are essential when you’re living in a van:

1. Microfibre Cloths

Microfibre cloths are absolutely amazing when it comes to cleaning up. They’re designed to absorb liquid so whether you’re mopping up spills or cleaning a surface with disinfectant, one quick wipe down and they’ll be left dry. Keeping a couple of these in your van is a great way to keep on top of cleaning, as a quick spritiz of cleaner and a wipe and your surfaces will be good to go.

2. Powerful Scented Disinfectant Concentrate

As you don’t want to be stocking millions and millions of different disinfectants in your van when you don’t have the space, keeping a powerful scented disinfectant concentrate is a great way to cut down on space. Not only that, but they’re pretty universal and can be used for pretty much anything, especially the very popular Zoflora.

3. Several Different Spray Bottles

To coincide with the above point, creating different spray bottles for different disinfectants is a great way to cut down space and wastage. You can get mini ones that are ideal for filling up and will usually last you a couple of weeks with a good quality disinfectant.

4. A Good Quality Vacuum

Although it’s probably the last thing on your mind, it’s important to vacuum your van and keep it clean. With walking in and out ALL day, it can be easy to bring stuff from outside into the van and without a vacuum this could be hard to get up. 5. Wax Melts And Scented Candles

If you want your van to smell nice it can be quite hard to achieve when you’re living in it and constantly on the go. A simple way to combat this is to buy a cheap wax melt burner, some scented wax melts and a stock of tea light candles. They only last 3-4 hours so you don’t have to burn them all day, but they’ll keep your van smelling fresh for hours upon hours.

6. Bathroom Cleaner

A tiny bathroom is never a good thing, so it’s important to make sure it's kept clean at all times. Having a multipurpose bathroom cleaner that you store in the bathroom is a great way to make sure people are cleaning as often as possible.
