The best dog-friendly destinations in Vancouver, BC

Vancouver, British Columbia, is an incredible, dog-friendly destination.
The city is lined with incredible parks, delicious food, and numerous hikes for you and your best friend to enjoy and explore.
I was fortunate to explore the city and mountains across British Columbia this fall, and I have been excited to share my adventures with you.
Check out some of my favorite dog-friendly stops along the way!
Walking around Downtown Vancouver is a fun way to exercise with your pup. There are plenty of dog-friendly shops to stop in with your dog along the way.
There are plenty of unique street art photo opportunities for you and your pup to take silly poses. I like the piece with the bunny, the pig, and the fox, but I thought it could use a dog, too!
A jaunt around Stanley Park is the perfect destination to run around with your pup. Make sure to take a picture with the famous totem poles. I had zero interest in posing with them that day.
Granville Island has cute little shops that are dog-friendly. The public market pictured is not pet-friendly, but the majority of surrounding shop owners will gladly welcome your pup with dog treats galore!
Granville Island also has some pretty sweet photo opportunities along the waterfront, and I was loving the smells of the salty air!
The treats were plentiful. One of the shop owners even left a dish for me to drink from beneath the humans’ fountain!
The famous Steam Clock on Water Street is funky and plays music, but I clearly wasn’t interested in this photo opportunity either.
When you need a break to enjoy nature, there is an abundance of magical hikes surrounding the city. I had the best time swimming and hiking at Golden Ears Provincial Park.
