Exploring the Oregon coast with your pup

The beaches of the Oregon coast are unlike any beaches I have ever experienced. I grew up playing on the dog beaches along South Florida, which were fun and had plenty of dogs to play with. However, the Oregon coast has a wild, mystical feeling that is hard to capture in pictures or words.

There are incredible rock formations peppering the coastline and miles of diverse beaches for you and your pup to explore.

Be careful when your dog explores too deep because there is precious wildlife living among the rocks. You don’t want your dog to get hurt or to hurt the anemones or starfish.

If your pup doesn’t prefer the water, there are many easy, moderate, and tough hikes for you to explore along the coast. I enjoyed hiking around the Oregon Dunes, which felt like a desert on the beach. A desert surrounded by Christmas trees.

If your pup prefers the water, good luck trying to get her out! I can fetch for hours and hours and never feel tired of being in the beautiful, tingly water.

There are dozens of hotels with dog-friendly accommodations along the coast. If you ever visit, our favorite place to stay is the Ashore Hotel in Seaside -- only a short 20-minute drive from the main gem of the coast: Cannon Beach.

I hope you enjoyed my pictures of the Oregon coast and that they give you the inspiration you need to take a trip along the coast one day.

Thank you for reading my dog-friendly adventures!
