My favorite dog-friendly hotels across America

My parents adore taking me on road trips, and I’m always down to try interesting new hotels. We
usually hike, explore national parks, and run around doggie parks, so I’m always pooped and
ready to try a new hotel bed by the end of our adventurous days. My mom says she looks for three things when choosing the perfect dog-friendly hotel room: cozy beds, no pet fees, and no breed or weight restrictions. Here is a current list of our favorite dog-friendly hotels across America.
1. La Quinta Inn and Suites. La Quinta hotels offer reasonable accommodations with
comfortable, clean beds. Some locations are nicer than others, but we usually don’t have
any issues with this budget chain. We’ve never paid a pet fee and have had no issues with
breed restrictions; however, some locations do charge cleaning fees, so be aware of this
when booking a room here. If you are looking for a decent budget hotel, this is your best
bet, since they have locations in every city across America.
2. Kimpton Hotels. Kimpton hotels offer great rooms, albeit with an even greater price tag. Although this boutique hotel chain is pricier, they are consistently rated as one of the top pet-friendly hotels in America. All animals are allowed as long as they fit through the door, and extras such as pet beds and water and food bowls are included. If you don’t have a pet, they will even bring you a goldfish if you’re feeling lonely. I especially love their beds and wish Mom and Dad would splurge on this hotel more often.
3. Boutique Hotels. I am consistently impressed by small, independent boutique hotels across America that offer unique dog-friendly accommodations. One favorite that stood out to me was the Clayton Plaza Hotel in St. Louis, Missouri. The hotel was clean, had no fees or breed restrictions, and the front desk staff welcomed me with treats and kisses. They even let me put my paws up on the front desk to say hello. The best part? I got my own bed that night, and it was the coziest night’s sleep I had on our cross-country America road trip.
