Packing for any trip can be extremely overwhelming. Not wanting to over pack but still making sure to have enough, all while making sure each outfit is perfect. Take the stress out of packing by asking yourself these 5 simple questions the next time you are getting ready for your big adventure.
Where am I going?

Now this might seem like an obvious question to be thinking about while packing, but make sure to not overlook it. Location is key when starting to think about your vacation wardrobe. I am going to dress totally different if I am planning on going to St. Thomas, USVI, than if I have a trip planned to hike in Oklahoma. Keeping your location in mind is a great starting point and can eliminate many options to choose from.
What is the weather like?

What is the weather like? Weather can be extremely tricky when trying to pack, so it is important to be cautious when it comes to the weather. Keeping track of the weather for your destination is a must while gathering your necessities. Check the weather when you start packing, and be sure to check again the day before your trip, to make sure there are no significant changes. Doing this will help ensure you arrive at your destination prepared for the ever-changing weather.
What will I be doing?

This question might be the most important when it come to the details of planning perfect traveling attire. Whether you plan to hike in the mountains, lounge on the beach, or explore the city, being prepared for these activities is important. Make sure to have a plan, and if spontaneity is your thing, think about things you are likely to do. For example, if you are going on a trip with friends that love to hike, plan to bring basic gear, even if nothing is planned. You never know when your next grand adventure will be.
Will I be comfortable in that?

Be sure to try on outfits, especially if they are new or have not been worn in a while. Nothing is worse than getting to your destination and not wanting to wear anything that you packed. Pack outfits that you know you will be comfortable/confident in, and want to wear.
Is that my style?

Finally, ask yourself if each outfit is your style. Don’t completely change your style for a certain destination. Find a way to make your style work for your location and activities. If stilettos are not your thing, and you are on your way to Vegas with the girls, don’t sweat it! Rock your booties or flats with confidence. BE YOU.
After asking yourself these 5 simple questions, you can be confident that you will be prepared for your trip. Pack your bags and head off on your next wanderlust-filled adventure.
